Joint personnel successfully collected approximately two tons of rubbish on Wednesday (4/1) during the cleaning of the banks of the Pesanggrahan River, Srengseng Urban Village, Kembangan, West Jakarta.

This cleanup follows up on yesterday's cleanup

Head of Kembangan District, Joko Suparno said the activity involved 65 joint personnel and local residents.

"This cleanup follows up on yesterday's cleanup. So, we're picking up the remaining trash that wasn't finished yet," he said.

Eight garbage trucks from the West Jakarta Environment and Forestry Sub-agency were deployed to transport garbage.

Joko stated that during yesterday's cleanup operation, personnel demolished a total of 20 semi-permanent illegal buildings.

He hopes that after the cleanup, no further construction will occur at the site.

"The cleaning was completed today. So we proposed to related agency to create green open space at the location," he stated.
