Return travel flow at Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal in East Jakarta began to surge on D+4 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri.
"...a total of 3,292 passengers have arrived,"
Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal Management Unit Head, Cristianto, said the return flow has started to pick up since Sunday (3/22).
"Passengers are arriving from various regions, not only from Java such as West Java, Central Java, and East Java, but also from Sumatra," he informed, Wednesday (3/25).
Cristianto said that on Tuesday (3/24), total arrivals reached 4,120 passengers on 567 intercity, interprovincial (AKAP) buses.
"As of today at 12 PM, a total of 3,292 passengers have arrived on 503 AKAP buses," he added.
To ensure smooth operations and security during the return flow, Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal team commander Batman Harahap said 85 joint personnel have been deployed at the Integrated Security Post and will remain on duty until March 29.
"The return flow is expected to continue through next week, as the school holiday is still ongoing," he noted.
He ensured that despite the surge in passenger numbers, security and order at Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal remain well maintained.
"So far, no significant disruptions have been reported during the Eid homecoming and return periods," he said.
