South Jakarta Satpol PP has confiscated 35 bottles of unlicensed liquor during monitoring operations spanning the first half of Ramadan.
Pesanggrahan Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Rina Sofyani stated that the contraband was uncovered during targeted inspections at several locations across the Petukangan Utara Urban Village.
The vendors have been put on notice
"The various brands of bootleg liquor were uncovered during patrols along Jalan AMD 10 and Jalan Mukhtar Raya," she stated, Thursday (3/12).
All unlicensed spirits were seized on the spot and transported to the South Jakarta Satpol PP's warehouse to be processed as evidence.
"The vendors have been put on notice. Repeat offenders will face steeper penalties, including the forced closure of their businesses," she asserted.
Throughout Ramadan, authorities are ramping up surveillance to maintain public order and community peace. These sweeps target more than just bootleg liquor; officials are also zeroing in on illegal narcotics and other social nuisances.
"Thus far this Ramadan, we have seized thousands of illicit pills and alcoholic beverages. These enforcement efforts will continue as directed by leadership," she emphasized.
