Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung personally inspected the distribution of "Tebus Murah" (Cheap Redemption) food packages at the Ciganjur Community Center in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, Friday (3/6).

The program, a collaborative effort between the city-owned marketplace operator Perumda Pasar Jaya and the Prakarsa Warga community group, is designed to stabilize food prices and bolster local purchasing power by providing essential staples at significantly discounted rates.

"I am here today to visit and engage with residents during this event, which was made possible through the partnership between Prakarsa Warga and Perumda Pasar Jaya," he expressed.

Pramono noted that the grocery packages, which have a market value of Rp 150,000, are being sold to residents for a discounted price of Rp 100,000. A total of 500 packages were distributed during Friday’s event.

Similar initiatives are being conducted across Jakarta’s five administrative cities and its one regency, with 1,000 subsidized bundles allocated to each region.

"At this site, we are distributing 500 packages. While each administrative city, such as South Jakarta, receives 1,000 packages total, these 500 units—valued at Rp 150,000—are being offered to residents for just Rp 100,000," he explained.

Each subsidized grocery bundle includes 5 kilograms of premium rice, 2 liters of cooking oil, 1 kilogram of flour, and 1 kilogram of granulated sugar.
