West Jakarta Mayor Iin Mutmainah on Thursday (3/5) inaugurated Gropetian Edu Park on Jalan Letjend S Parman, Tomang, Grogol Petamburan.

"...Gropetian Edu Park reflects strong innovation and creativity,"

In her remarks, Iin praised the Grogol Petamburan Sub-district administration for transforming an abandoned plot of land into a space for social interaction and community education.

"We appreciate the efforts at the Grogol Petamburan sub-district level and all related units. Through synergy among all sections at the sub-district, they have been able to formulate a public space that is open and educational," she said.

The park not only functions as a community space but also incorporates urban farming, a nutrition pond, and chicken farming.

"Although it was developed through community self-help efforts, Gropetian Edu Park reflects strong innovation and creativity," Iin added.

She expressed hope that the facility would be optimized to serve all segments of the community, from children and youth to the elderly.

"This park also sends a positive message that with creativity, an area can be properly revitalized," she stressed.

Grogol Petamburan Sub-district Head Raditian Ramajaya said the transformation of land beneath the Alam Kota toll flyover into Gropetian Edu Park was the result of collective synergy and the use of independent resources.

According to Raditian, his team has prepared various programs to be integrated into activities at the park, including health check-ups conducted by the community health center and fire prevention education by the Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency.

He acknowledged that although the park has officially opened to the public, visitor access is currently limited to early childhood education (PAUD) communities.

"We are also working to collaborate with partners so that every child who visits can receive snacks, vitamins, and other support," he noted.
