Residents of Paseban Urban Village, Senen, Central Jakarta, Thursday (3/5), flocked to the cheap staple food market held by PT LRT Jakarta at local urban village office.
Rp 100,000
Jakarta LRT Phase 1 B Project Director, Ramdani Akbar, said that his party provided 300 affordable food packages for residents of Paseban Urban Village, whose area is directly affected by the Jakarta LRT project track.
"We prepared 300 packages worth Rp 150,000. But residents only paid Rp 100,000," he said.
He hopes that this cheap basic food program can ease the burden on residents during Ramadan.
"We also plan various other community empowerment programs during the construction period," he added.
Juriyah, a resident living on Jalan Kramat Lontar V, RW 01 Paseban, admitted the program helps her much.
"The basic food package contains rice, cooking oil, wheat flour and syrup," she admitted.
