Ahead of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri homecoming and return travel period, management of Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal in East Jakarta has stepped up improvements at the facility. This effort is aimed not only at passengers, but also at drivers and bus crews who play a key role in ensuring smooth Eid travel.
"...ensuring the safety and comfort of both travelers and terminal staff,"
Head of Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal Revi Zulkarnain said a dedicated rest area has been prepared for bus crews to provide comfort and security after long, exhausting journeys.
"We have provided carpets, chairs, tables, televisions, fans and water dispensers to meet the needs of bus crews in the rest area," he said on Wednesday (4/3).
Revi added that the aesthetics of the terminal area have also been improved through repainting boundary fences and curbs.
"This effort is aimed at creating a more orderly, clean and comfortable terminal environment for Eid travelers,” he explained.
He further noted that from 10 days prior to Eid, integrated security, health and ramp check posts will be set up to ensure the roadworthiness of intercity and interprovincial (AKAP) buses.
"We are committed to providing the best service and ensuring the safety and comfort of both travelers and terminal staff," he asserted.
Revi explained that conditions at Kampung Rambutan Terminal remain conducive, with no significant increase yet in AKAP passenger numbers.
"We hope this safe and orderly atmosphere can be maintained through the peak of the Eid homecoming and return flow," he added.
