Joint personnel repaired the Cawang City Forest fence on Jalan DI Panjaitan, Kebon Pala Urban Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta as an effort to prevent negative behavior in the area.
Head of Makasar District, Dimas Prayudi said the city forest boundary fence was allegedly deliberately damaged to open access, despite the fence having been securely installed before.
inappropriate activities
He added that in addition to the vandalized fence, the security padlock was also found broken. In fact, there was no guardrail on the side of the toll road, allowing people to get off their vehicles and enter the city forest area, reaching Jalan DI Panjaitan.
"We are closing access to the Cawang City Forest so that it is not misused again for inappropriate activities," he said, Friday (2/27).
He continued that the district rank has cooperated with East Jakarta Public Works Sub-agency for light installation in the area.
Meanwhile, Head of East Jakarta City Park and Forestry, Dwi Ponangsera explained there are two gaps that have been closed, namely beside the Cawang Interchange Toll underpass and behind the bus stop opposite the Patria Park Hotel.
"The gap beside the toll road underpass is closed using cast concrete, while the gap behind the bus stop is closed with an iron fence," he stated.
Trees that are too dense will also be pruned to minimize the potential for negative activities in the city forest area.
