Central Jakarta City Government is about to arrange the sidewalk and street vendors at Palmerah Market, Gelora, Tanah Abang.

Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin said the arrangement in this area includes revitalizing the sidewalk starting from the Slipi descent to the traditional market which is in the Gelora Urban Village, Tanah Abang.

"The sidewalks in the Palmerah Market area to be revitalized to provide comfort for pedestrians," he said, Wednesday (2/25).

Arifin admitted that most of the sidewalks from the Slipi descent to Palmerah Market were damaged.

The presence of traders' stalls that have taken over the sidewalk outside Palmerah Market, also causing chaos.

"Sidewalk at Palmerah Market to be revitalized by Jakarta Public Works Agency this year," he added.

According to him, Head of Tanah Abang District and Head of Gelora Urban Village also have been collecting street vendors data.

"We have also prepared trader relocation options to fill empty kiosks inside Palmerah Market and Banana Market," he admitted.
