Governor Pramono Anung and Deputy Governor Rano Karno are considered to have brought positive changes through an incremental and solution-oriented policy approach during their first year of leadership.

Public policy observer and Professor at Trisakti University, Trubus Rahadiansah, gave positive notes on a number of achievements of Governor Pramono's administration, starting from the expansion of Transjabodetabek transportation to social assistance for education.

Just continue with the good things

Trubus highlighted the Governor's move to expand transportation connectivity to buffer zones. Although this measure is considered to further increase the burden of subsidies from the regional budget, he believes it is the right policy to reduce Jakarta's traffic congestion.

"Just continue with the good things. For example, regarding transportation connectivity. This isn't just in Jakarta now, but also extends to areas outside Jakarta," he said, Friday (2/20).

To avoid placing too much of a burden on the Jakarta Regional Budget, Trubus also suggested that buffer zones crossed by the Transjabodetabek route contribute to supporting the operation of this service.

"So, the budget doesn't come entirely from the Jakarta Regional Budget. They must contribute. It's important," he added.

Trubus also highlighted the need to strengthen the Agglomeration Area Council under the Jakarta Special Region (DKJ) Law. He believes Governor Pramono Anung is capable of positioning Jakarta as a leader in coordinating the Jabodetabek-Cianjur region, particularly in addressing cross-border issues such as air pollution and congestion.

"That's the mandate of Law Number 2 of the Jakarta Capital City Council (DKJ), which requires agglomeration. Jakarta must lead the way in regions categorized as agglomerations," he continued.

In the education sector, Trubus commended the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment to continuously strengthening the distribution of social assistance programs, such as the KJP and KJMU programs. While these programs have been running well, he urged the Jakarta Provincial Government to ensure more targeted distribution.

The Jakarta Provincial Government's attention to the education sector is also considered in line with Jakarta's vision of becoming a global city that requires superior human resources.

Governor Pramono also received praise for his commitment to completing various development projects left unfinished by the previous administration, such as the demolition of the monorail poles, the construction of the Sumber Waras Hospital, and the construction of a bridge to connect JIS with Ancol.

However, Trubus also reminded the Jakarta Provincial Government to pay extra attention to handling tidal flooding in Jakarta's coastal areas.

"Tidal flooding should be resolved," he emphasized.
