The Jakarta government has confirmed it will follow the central government's lead regarding the implementation of flexible work arrangements, including the Work From Anywhere (WFA) scheme, during the Idulfitri holiday period.

"The Jakarta administration will always adhere to the decisions and directives issued by the Central Government. This includes Work From Home (WFH) and Work From Anywhere (WFA) policies; we will adjust our regulations accordingly," said Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (2/12).

However, Pramono emphasized that this flexibility must not compromise the quality of public services on the ground.

"What we must avoid is any disruption to field services, especially as many people head home for the Idulfitri mudik (homecoming) and other activities. We can't let the service quality slip," he explained.

He maintained that public service remains the Jakarta administration's top priority. Consequently, he has instructed all personnel in the public service sector to remain on high alert and standby.

Notably, the government has issued Circular Letter No. 2/2026 from the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) concerning flexible working arrangements for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN).

The circular stipulates that these flexible working adjustments will be in effect for two days prior to the Nyepi (Day of Silence) national holiday and collective leave on March 16 and 17, 2026. Further, the policy will be implemented for three days following the Idulfitri national holiday and collective leave, specifically on March 25, 26, and 27, 2026.
