"Today, we have officially opened the Transjabodetabek B51 route from Cawang to Cikarang," said Pramono.
Pramono explained that this service will operate from 5 AM to 10 PM with a very affordable rate of Rp 3,500. However, from 5 AM to 7 AM, the rate is only Rp 2,000.
In the initial stage, 14 fleets have been prepared to serve the 89 kilometer route with a total of 11 stopping points.
The Jakarta Provincial Government is also preparing plans to open a new TransJabodetabek route from Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Although the permit from the Ministry of Transportation has been obtained, the Jakarta Provincial Government, through the Transportation Agency and Transjakarta, is still making thorough preparations, including building several new bus stops.
"Ministry of Transportation has granted permission. However, several new bus stops will need to be improved," he added.
Pramono aims to have the route to the airport operational before Eid al-Fitr, so the public can enjoy the service soon.
"I requested the Transportation Agency and Transjakarta to prepare the route before Eid," he stated.
