Joint personnel of Central Jakarta government, Wednesday (2/11), conducting sidewalk arrangement along Cikini up to Senen Raya, precisely in front of Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital.

Central Jakarta Administration Secretary, Denny Ramdany said the sidewalk arrangement is involving personnel of Public Works, Water Resources, City Parks and Cemetery, Sarpol PP, police, and army.

"The arrangement is about to be accelerated in all district areas to welcome the 500th Jakarta anniversary," he said.

Besides providing a sense of safety and comfort for pedestrians, Denny continued, this arrangement also supports a sustainable, environmentally friendly transportation system.

Meanwhile, Head of Kenari Urban Village, Ojoh Juhariah stated his party will carry out supervision to ensure that street vendors and illegal parking do not reappear on the sidewalks.

"Street vendors and illegal parking occupied the sidewalk," he stated.

Wahyuni (22), a student at a private campus in the Senen area appreciated the sidewalk improvement carried out by the Central Jakarta City Government.

"We hope there will be personnel on regular patrols," she hoped.
