The North Jakarta City Government is accelerating waste management in the area under the Ir Wiyoto Wiyono Toll Road, Jalan Danau Cincin Utara, Papanggo Urban Village, Tanjung Priok District.
North Jakarta Assistant for Economic and Development, Wawan Budi Rohman, said that the handling began with cleaning the toll road side area, then continued to the underpass.

"To prevent further waste disposal, we have prepared waste disposal points in vacant land around the location," he said, Wednesday (2/11).
Wawan explained that the provision of waste disposal sites will be in accordance with the North Jakarta Environmental Sub-agency's directives. Furthermore, access to the sites will be restricted.
"This area will be restricted to pedestrians and motorcycles only. This restriction is in place because carts are suspected of being used to transport and dump trash in this area," he explained.
Wawan added that the urban village head and local RW administrators were asked to hold a community meeting to find a joint solution so that people would no longer litter.
Meanwhile, Head of Tanjung Priok District's Environmental Unit, Amir stated the progress of waste management under the toll road and its surroundings has reached around 70 percent.
"Our target is to complete the project this month. Approximately 50 trips of waste have been collected and disposed of at the Bantargebang Integrated Waste Processing Facility," he said.
To accelerate the cleanup process, Amir continued, 13 large trucks were deployed from Monday to Wednesday. The work was also supported by an excavator for dredging.
Amir hopes this effort will receive full support from the community. He believes that successfully maintaining environmental cleanliness requires the participation of all parties.
