Sidewalk revitalization on Jalan Sultan Iskandar Muda, which covers the areas of Kebayoran Lama Selatan and Kebayoran Lama Utara, is a priority proposal in the Development Planning Forum (Musrenbang) of Kebayoran Lama District, South Jakarta.
South Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar said there are 257 proposals at the Kebayoran Lama District level that must be monitored optimally so that the development carried out is of high quality, on target, and efficient.
for good regional development
"After further reviewing, 87 proposals will be implemented this year and 170 other proposals will be continued in 2027," he said, Monday (2/9).
Anwar emphasized to the support unit staff to continuously monitor and follow the entire planning process until it becomes a program at the city and even provincial levels. This aims to ensure that all community proposals are implemented according to plan.
"All parties must oversee this process for good regional development," he added.
Legislator of Commission C of the Jakarta City Council, Sutikno, said that development proposals can be submitted through Musrenbang or through City Council members as representatives of the residents, including during recess.
"We will prioritize community proposals at the plenary level. The city council has a budgeting function, allowing us to propose development priorities based on community needs and aspirations," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of Kebayoran Lama District, Mustopa Thohir explained revitalizing the sidewalk area on Jalan Sultan Iskandar Muda has become a priority because its current condition is considered unfriendly to pedestrians. This situation has drawn numerous complaints from residents, including workers working in the area.
"We propose to the Public Works Agency to revitalize the sidewalk, as well as add shade trees to beautify Jalan Sultan Iskandar Muda," he explained.
He hopes that the revitalization will create sidewalk paths that are friendly for pedestrians and people with disabilities, reduce air pollution, and provide a safe and comfortable means of mobility for residents.
