Jakarta City Council's Deputy Chairwoman, Rany Mauliani supported the community service movement called Jaga Jakarta Bersih that was held simultaneously in Jakarta on Sunday (2/8).

She assessed that the cleanliness movement held in various areas of Jakarta is a positive step that deserves full support.

According to her, environmental cleaning activities need to be carried out intensively and sustainably to have a real impact on the community.

"I think there's no problem with cleaning up anywhere, as it's bound to have a positive impact. These actions should be carried out intensively and regularly so that the impact is truly felt and maximized," she said, Monday (2/9).

She emphasized that this movement should be implemented in all areas of Jakarta, both in flood-free areas and flood-prone areas.

"The Jaga Jakarta Bersih' initiative is certainly appropriate and beneficial, and is in line with the President and the central government's call for every region to always maintain its environment, especially cleanliness, for the sake of improving the lives of the community," she stated.
