As many as three kapok trees fell in Cakung Riverbank, RT 05/03, Cakung Barat Urban Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, Sunday (2/8) afternoon. The evacuation process was run until the evening.
Head Section of Green Belt and Cemetery for East Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Sub-agency, Made Widhi Adnyana Surya Pratita said the three kapok trees each had a diameter of about 60 centimeters and a height of approximately 10 meters. Part of the tree trunks had blocked the water flow in the Cakung River.

"We directly evacuated the fallen trees on Cakung Riverbank," he said, Monday (2/9).
Made explained the evacuation process involved 12 joint personnel of Green and Orange troop.
"Quick handling was carried out because it was feared that it could disrupt the water flow system in the river," he added.
Meanwhile, Ranto (49), one of the local residents, thanked and appreciated the joint personnel for quickly handling the fallen trees.
"I would like to thank the personnel who have successfully evacuated the fallen tree and cleaned up the location," he admitted.
