South Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency is running the sediment dredging of Ciliwung River's Rawajati dike, Pancoran District. Now the progress has reached 79.1 percent.
Sub-agency's Officers of the Pancoran Area Heavy Equipment Monitoring Task Force, Arifin, said dredging is carried out to increase the reservoir capacity and smooth the flow of water to minimize the potential for flooding.

"We have been dredging since August 29, 2025 and continue to intensify it until now," he said, Friday (2/6).
According to him, the volume of sediment that has been successfully dredged has reached around 3,757.30 cubic meters or equivalent to work progress of 79.1 percent.
The sub-agency deployed one long-arm excavator and five dump trucks to support dredging activities.
"All dredging results are disposed of at a dumping site in the Ancol area as part of efforts to optimize river function and control flooding," he added.
He continued that the dredging is a form of commitment from the South Jakarta City Government to carry out sustainable flood management to maintain public safety and comfort.
