Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama wants civil servants using public transports once in a month. It is regulated in Governor Instruction No. 150/2013 about public transport for official and civil servants under Jakarta Provincial Government.

“We want to decrease the usage of private vehicles. I think civil servants are able to use public transport once in a month,” he said, Friday (6/3).

Basuki admitted that the policy is only for civil servants, not for guests visiting City Hall, City Council, mayor office and so on.

He added that the policy is aimed to reduce vehicle number in Friday.
