Around 400 families who survived the flood in the residential area of RW 04, Rawa Buaya, Cengkareng, West Jakarta received social assistance packages, Thursday (2/5).
Our residents received 400 aid packages
The aid package from the Lions Club District 307-A1 was symbolically given by the Mayor of West Jakarta, Iin Mutmainah at the RW 04 Office, Rawa Buaya.
According to Iin, this assistance is a form of Lions Club's concern for residents affected by the recent floods.
"On behalf of the West Jakarta City Government, we would like to express our gratitude for your concern and attention," she said.
Iin hopes that this collaboration and social action can continue with all parties.
Head of Rawa Buaya Urban Village, Junaidi explained there were 16 neighborhood units (RT) in RW 04 that are most affected. The water level in the area at its deepest point reached 1.5 meters.
He stated that today, 400 families affected by the flood received basic food packages consisting of rice, coffee, instant noodles, tea, oil and biscuits, as well as house cleaning equipment.
"Our residents received 400 aid packages today," he added.
Meanwhile, Head of RW 04 Rawa Buaya Urban Village, Jufri Ahmad admitted the assistance received was sufficient to help ease the burden on residents whose homes were flooded.
"We are very grateful, may the Lions Club always be successful," he said.
