A total of 10 Blue Troops personnel were deployed to repair collapsed embankment along Kali Baru on Jalan Raya Bogor, Ciracas Urban Village, East Jakarta.
"...emergency measures have been carried out,"
East Jakarta Assistant for Economy and Development, Fauzi, inspected the site firsthand, accompanied by Pasar Rebo Sub-district Head, Mujiono; Pekayon Urban Village Head, Akhmad Bakri; and several other related officials.
According to Fauzi, early handling focused on installing wooden piles, expected to be completed in one week, before moving on to permanent embankment construction by the East Jakarta SDA through a third-party e-Katalog procurement.
"The Kali Baru embankment repair is targeted to begin in March, involving a third party," he said on Wednesday (2/4).
He added that although the collapsed section is around 40 meters long, the permanent embankment to be built will span approximately 100 meters.
"The work will also include repairs to the underside of the bridge, which has begun to erode and develop holes, to ensure it can safely support the bridge structure," he explained.
Pekayon Urban Village Head, Akhmad Bakri, added that the 40-meter-long, 14-meter-high embankment collapsed on January 23 following heavy rainfall.
"Although the landslide occurred within Ciracas Urban Village, the most significant impact has been felt by Pekayon Urban Village residents," he stated.
Bakri noted that the collapsed embankment is located next to Jalan Bidan Dedeh bridge, which serves as road access for residents in RW 06, 08, and 10, Pekayon Urban Village.
"We immediately coordinated with the East Jakarta Government for prompt handling. Thankfully, emergency measures have been carried out," he said.
Meanwhile, RW 06 Head, Aiptu Joko Wahyu Triyanto, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the swift response by relevant authorities in repairing the collapsed embankment.
"Hopefully, the work can be completed soon so residents can feel safer and comfortable," he added.
