Fallen Trees in East Jakarta Evacuated

As many as four fallen trees in several locations in East Jakarta have been evacuated by joint personnel. The evacuation process involved 18 personnel of green and orange troop.

"When heavy rain fell yesterday, there were four trees, all of which were successfully handled by Tuesday evening because they were blocking the road," he said, Wednesday (2/4).

The fallen trees included a mahogany tree with a diameter of approximately 65 centimeters on Jalan H. Hasan, Baru Urban Village; and a kedondong tree with a diameter of 30 centimeters on Jalan Wisma Jaya, Rawamangun Urban Village.

Then, a tanjung tree with a diameter of 30 centimeters on Jalan Persahabatan Utara I, Pisangan Timur Urban Village; and a flamboyant tree with a diameter of 40 centimeters on Jalan Kayu Putih Timur I, Pulo Gadung Urban Village.

"None of the four fallen trees hit buildings or vehicles. There were no fatalities or injuries," he added.

Meanwhile, one of the local residents, Wahyudi (55), appreciated the personnel's quick response.

"Thank you to the personnel who moved quickly to evacuate the fallen tree," he admitted.
