Jakarta Provincial Government will apply strict sanction for business owners disposing waste to river or water channel. Law sanction and permit revocation will be given.

Jakarta Head Regional Environmental Management Agency (BPLHD), Junaedi, admitted the sanction to be given is already based on Act No. 32/2009 about Environment Protection and Management.

“Early stage is administrative sanction and warning,” he said, Tuesday (4/12).

According to him, business owner would get time to construct waste disposal management. If not, the permit will be revoked.
