As many as 125 ex-Kalijodo citizens who have occupied the flat are proposed to be trained in the garment industry. It is a form of empowerment for people who have only moved into the flat.
Jakarta Industry and Energy Dept Head, Yuli Hartono disclosed that citizens who have the skills can be channeled into the existing job fair.
"We will bring 150 people to undergo training in the industry education and training hall belongs to the ministry," she expressed, Wednesday (2/16).
According to him, the training will be done for 20 days, starting from April 11. If they had passed training, the education agency would transfer them to work in garment industries.
"They could work in Jakarta, Bandung and Tangerang," she told.
She stated that those will get sewing training and will be housed at the training site that is located in Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta.
