The South Jakarta Administration plants trees along channel bank on Jalan Pondok Pinang Timur, Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama. It is aimed to prevent residents using the land illegally.

According to him, the trees are mahogany and other productive types. "The productive are star fruit, jackfruit, and rambutan. It will give benefit for residents," he added.

Another 100 trees, he continued, will be planted at the same area to flatten the channel bank. Previously, about 35 illegal buildings along the bank were demolished.
