A total of 1,398 trees have been trimmed (topping) by Central Jakarta Park Sub-dept. from January to October 2014. The trees were trimmed due to prone to collapse and could endanger passerby .

Head Section of Central Jakarta Green Lane Sub-dept, Maria Tambunan explained, the trimming locations were at 8 sub-districts. According to her, the trimming was applied to trees with height above 10 meters, with a very shady branches.
"Ahead of rainy season, the prone to collapse trees must be trimmed to avoid unwanted things," she said, Monday (11/3).
Mostly the trimmed trees are in Menteng, Cempaka Putih, Senen, and Tanah Abang.
"We also respond the society report related to prone to collapse trees," she added.
