A total of 1,398 trees have been trimmed (topping) by Central Jakarta Park Sub-dept. from January to October 2014. The trees were trimmed due to prone to collapse and could endanger passerby
.Ahead of rainy season, the prone to collapse trees must be trimmed to avoid unwanted things
Head Section of Central Jakarta Green Lane Sub-dept, Maria Tambunan explained, the trimming locations were at 8 sub-districts. According to her, the trimming was applied to trees with height above 10 meters, with a very shady branches.
"Ahead of rainy season, the prone to collapse trees must be trimmed to avoid unwanted things," she said, Monday (11/3).
Mostly the trimmed trees are in Menteng, Cempaka Putih, Senen, and Tanah Abang.
"We also respond the society report related to prone to collapse trees," she added.
