Around 192 pets were administered with the anti-rabies vaccine in Harapan Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district held by the Thousand Islands Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency.

Livestock and Animal Health Division Head Guyantoro said it was free of charge.

He explained that vaccination is very important to provide a sense of security and comfort to the community. Moreover, Harapan Island is also one of the favorite tourist destinations in Thousand Islands.
"Its implementation is also supported by three veterinarians from the Jakarta Branch of the Indonesian Veterinarian Association. Later on, similar service will also be held on all residential islands and resorts," he stated.
