Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Agency collaborated with Scarf Media to hold Halal Tourism Parade 2020 on October 20 - November 5, 2020.

Jakarta Parekraf Agency Acting Head (Plt), Gumilar Ekalaya stated, Covid-19 pandemic had a major impact on tourism industry. Many industrial lines were affected, starting from hotels, airlines, restaurants, travel agents, and others.
"However, tourism industry must continue to run and be optimistic. For this reason, Jakarta Parekraf Agency and Scarf Media held an event entitled the Halal Tourism Parade," he asserted, Friday (10/23).
All activities in Halal Tourism Parade will be carried out virtually, such as hospitality business streaming parade, live streaming of 'Updated Halal Tourism', Webtorial Article, and travel promos on Instagram.
Those activities, he assessed, could inspire people and provide the latest information on tourism industry in Indonesia, and provide opportunities for halal tourism actors to renew their industry.
"Through Halal Tourism Parade, people can get information about tourism industry during the pandemic while maintaining engagement between tourism actors and visitors/tourists," he explained.
Here are the details of Halal Tourism Parade's activities:
1. Streaming Parade with Hospitality business actors (hotel, restaurants, tourist attraction managers, travel agents and others). This activity is carried out every day for two weeks through live broadcast with variety of interesting themes related to hospitality industry, and provide a space for promotion.
2. Live Streaming of 'Updated Halal Tourism'. It informs Tourism Ministry's strategies to recover tourism sector in the future and Digital Tourism Next Level
3. Webtorial article, it raises information and recommendation for local tourism in Indonesia, especially halal hotels and restaurants, as well as Umrah and Hajj information with tips and tricks.
4. Promo on Instagram Feed and Story, by posting various hospitality industries, as well as content about safe tourism tips during the pandemic for domestic tourists.
