As may as 150 volunteers are ready to donate their blood to the Jakarta's Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) at the juang house in Bilangan, Petogogan Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

We are ready to do a joint blood donation

Sandiaga Uno, one of the founders of the standby volunteer said it was a form of volunteer care to help provide blood in Jakarta, because of a decline in blood donations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are ready to do a joint blood donation," he expressed, Thursday (10/22).

On that occasion, together with his wife, he invited mothers and residents to carry out blood donation actions.

Besides being a form of concern for others, he stressed, it could also make the body healthier.

"We are on standby looking forward to Jakartans to donate blood for the next time," he told.

Jakarta PMI Chairman Rustam Effendi added the more people donate their blood, the blood supply in PMI could be refulfilled.

"We need more blood as a therapy for patients suffering from thalassemia, dengue fever, surgery during childbirth, accidents, etc," he stated.
