Seven personnel of Pesanggrahan Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Task Force, South Jakarta is repairing a collapsed sheet pile of the connecting channel on the Uangan River in RT 01/03.

"When the sheet pile as wide as four meters collapsed, it caused floodwaters as high as 50 cm and immediately inundated a residential area when rain poured," expressed Pesanggrahan Urban Village Head, Jumadi, Wednesday (10/21).

He explained temporary repairs were carried out by installing dolken groves and piles of sacks filled with soil since two days ago to anticipate flooding.

"When it rains, water in the channel no longer enters residents' homes," he stated.
