61 families Living in Mampang River Relocated to the Flat

As many as 61 families living on the banks of the Mampang River, South Jakarta, have occupied the Komarudin Flat in Penggilingan, Cakung, East Jakarta.

"Thus far, 61 families already occupied the Komarudin Flat," expressed Head of Mampang Sub-District, Fidiyah Rokhim, Tuesday (10/21).

According to him, for the initial stage, the citizens only receive a ration of 66 out of 100 units and now has entered the final stage for submission of prospective flat occupant's files.

"The flat is still leaving 5 units. But citizen files had been sent to Flat Management Technical Unit from Jakarta Housing and Governments Building Department. And now we just wait for approval to be raffled," he explained."

He acknowledged that a number of citizens are often returning to Mampang. Therefore, they must be able to adapt to the lifestyle in the flat. "They're still adaptation thus some are still returning to the village (Mampang)," he stated.

Normalization process on the Mampang River has been ongoing since August, where 250 families would be relocated to the flat.
