Around five officers of Setiabudi Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency, South Jakarta began normalizing the water channel alongside Jalan Padang in RT 03/08, Pasar Manggis Urban Village.
It is done as the mud sediment is thick enough
Setiabudi Sub-district Head Sri Yuliani Saraswaty said the channel itself had one meter wide with 300 meters long and 30 centimeters deep.
"It is done as the mud sediment is thick enough," she expressed, Monday (9/28).
She explained it had been carried out since two weeks ago and was targeted to be complete early October. By doing so, inundation or flooding during the rainy season could be minimized well.
"The work is focused on Jalan Menteng Atas Selatan, Gg II, RT 04/12," she closed.
