The West Jakarta administration decided to form 64 personnel in order to optimally monitor the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) policy and to punish those who break the rules.
They will monitor and control people who violate PSBB in a persuasive, humanist, decisive and measurable manner
According to Yani Wahyu Purwoko, Vice Mayor of West Jakarta, those 64 personnel were from Satpol PP, Transportation Sub-agency, army and police. They divided into eight teams.
"They will monitor and control people who violate PSBB in a persuasive, humanist, decisive and measurable manner," he expressed, on Tuesday (9/15).
He explained each violator would be subject to progressive sanctions, social work for one hour or pay a fine of Rp 250,000.
But if they made the same mistake, the penalty would be doubled to two hours and a fine of Rp 500,000.
"By so we hope residents' awareness of the importance of health and health protocols could increase," he hoped.
