The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of August 23.

" From 637 cases, there are 125 cases from the previous day"

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 6,255 specimens. 5,122 of them were to diagnose new cases with 637 positive and 4,485 negative results.

"From 637 cases, there are 125 cases from the previous day. The number of people tested last week has reached 41.251, while 52.034 people have undergone the swab tests," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Sunday (8/23).

In the meantime, COVID-19 positive cases increased to 637 cases. Around 8.962 were undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead). As for the total number of confirmed cases in Jakarta today was 33.636 cases.

Of these cases, 23.567 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 70.1% and 1,107 people died with a death rate of 4.4%, while Indonesia's death rate was 4.5%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 9.6%, while Indonesia was 6.1%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

1. Stay home if not urgent

2. Always run 3M rules: (Mencuci tangan (washing hands), Memakai masker (wearing masks) and Menjaga jarak (keeping a distance), maintain physical distancing and wash hands with soap and running water regularly.

3. All activities permitted to operate must be within a maximum capacity of 50% and strictly adhere to health protocols

4. Remind others to always implement health protocols
