PPSU personnel and local residents cleaned up crude oil spill on the east and north coastal areas of Pari Island, South Thousand Islands, Thousand Islands.

" We have collected 250 sacks of crude oil waste"

From this cleaning, personnel collected 250 sacks of crude oil waste from the locations.

Pari Island Urban Village Head, Mahtum conveyed, crude oil spill had polluted the coast along the east side of main pier, or at Bintang Beach tourist spot. Currently his side is still unable to conclude where the crude oil spill came from.

"We have collected 250 sacks of crude oil waste," he mentioned, Tuesday (8/12).

In this cleaning, his side focused to clean up the coastal area. While the crude oil spill on the sea water is scattered and carried away by the current.

"Until now, we are still cleaning up the east and north coastal areas of Pari Island from crude oil spill," he stated.
