Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Agency continues to monitor and evaluate urban farming locations in Jakarta, as well as assisting urban farmers to obtain product certification.

Jakarta KPKP Agency's Agriculture Division Head, Mujiati conveyed, monitoring and evaluation are carried out routinely to ensure urban farming program continues to run well amid of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"From this activity, we expect to know more about urban farmer's problems and expectations from utilizing the existing land for urban farming," she explained, Saturday (8/8).
In order to reach a wider market, urban farming location should be registered through garden registration and its product should be certified.
"Jakarta KPKP Agency will facilitate and assist urban farmers for processing the registration and product certification which carried out by Regional Competent Authority for Food Safety (OKKPD)," she said.
Monitoring is carried out from August 5-10 in 10 locations. 3 locations that have been monitored were Ampar Adhum Jatinegara Green Alley, D'hafa Duren Sawit Farmer Group, and Green House Mutiara Salsabila Farm in Cilincing.
Next, her side will monitor Poktan GSG 07 Kembangan; Baitussalam Mosque, Tamansari; New Garden Hydro; Karang Taruna Kebon Baru; Selong Farm, Kebayoran Baru; Hydrophonic Alley, Cilandak; Poktan Bu Yani Agus, CIkini; and Damayanti Green Alley, Menteng.
Mutiara Salsabila Farm Owner, Ahmad Hidayat appreciates Jakarta KPKP Agency for its concern to urban farmers. He hopes KPKP Agency can support and facilitate their needs to develop Mutiara Salsabila Farm.
"Thus we hope KPKP Agency and North Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency can always support us both in production and marketing our crops," he said.
