South Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency has monitored the use of eco-friendly shopping bags (KBRL) in 25 traditional markets and 350 supermarkets in the region from January to July 2020.

"KBRL monitoring is carried out to ensure both traditional and modern markets have complied with KBRL regulations," said M. Amin, Head of South Jakarta LH Sub-agency, Tuesday (8/4).
For information, obligation to use KBRL has been regulated in Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 142/2019 concerning the Obligation to Use KBRL in Traditional Markets, Shopping Centers, and Convenience Stores.
"We deploy 170 personnel in every monitoring," he added.
During the monitoring, his side cooperated with traditional and modern markets management to encourage their tenants to use KBRL.
"Until this day, we still monitor the traders in persuasive way," he conveyed.
