Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economic Agency (Disparekraf) had to seal off 26 entertainment venues temporarily after they violated the operational time that was set in the Jakarta Disparekraf number 1933/-1.858.2 dated on June 30 and Gubernatorial Regulation number 563/2020 on the transitional PSBB.
" Karaoke has started operating, including restaurants or cafes that facilitate live music"
"Karaoke has started operating, including restaurants or cafes that facilitate live music. We then report the case to Satpol PP for further action," said Jakarta Disparekraf's Supervision Division Head, Iffan, Thursday (7/16).
He went on to say that 4 out of 26 entertainment venues were sealed with administrative sanctions of Rp 25,000,000. They consisted of bar, karaoke, cafe, massage parlor, lounge and discotheque.
Most of them ignored the COVID-19 transmission prevention protocol such as unavailable portable sink with running water and soap, not maintaining physical distancing between visitors, no body temperature meter checking, not using a mask and did not ensure visitors who come in good condition.
He explained that the agency had summoned an association of entertainment entrepreneurs prior to the transitional period to promote them about general and specific protocols for preventing COVID-19 transmission in entertainment venues.
"We say there are some general and specific protocols should be implemented in the pandemic situation. We also continue to do strict supervision in the field in order to ensure whether they have obeyed the rules or not," he stated.
