After the Phase 1 Transitional PSBB period was officially extended for 14 days, Jakarta Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria (Ariza) encouraged all sides to collaborate in socializing health protocol implementation in daily activities in order to control COVID-19 transmission in Jakarta.
" We hope within 14 days, we can improve citizens' compliance and discipline"
This statement was conveyed after he visited Pademangan Timur Urban Village Office, North Jakarta, on Friday (7/3). In this occasion, he was accompanied by North Jakarta Mayor, Sigit Wijatmoko and local sub-district and urban village heads.
"We hope within 14 days, we can improve citizens’ compliance and discipline. We should deploy more personnel to monitor and check its implementation. Socialization is also part of our job. So, I want COVID-19 prevention protocols to be socialized continuously," he stated, as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.
He hoped that the massive health protocols socialization to all levels of society could accelerate city's efforts to control and handle COVID-19, especially in areas that were categorized as red zone due to high infection rate (IR) of COVID-19.
"Thus 27 RWs in red zones can transform into yellow and green within these 2 weeks. We always urge residents to stay at home. Although they need to go outside, they must in a healthy state, wear mask, wash hands with soap, maintain safe distance, and avoid the crowd," he asserted.
His side also appreciated Pademangan Timur Urban Village for their public service. It was because they were actively in health protocols implementation. Number of supporting facilities also provided to prevent COVID-19 transmission in urban village office.
"Urban village, sub-district heads, and mayor also give good attention to their residents. Thus people's obedience can continue to increase. Not only excellent in service and security, but hopefully problems in here can be solved well," he conveyed.
