Jakarta Vice Governor Ahmad Riza Patria gave his appreciation to PT Bank DKI that has plans to develop a special e-Order platform for micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM).

Through the involvement of various parties, hopefully Jakarta's economy can immediately bounce back from COVID-19

He hoped that it could increasingly empower UMKM in Jakarta affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Through the involvement of various parties, hopefully Jakarta's economy can immediately bounce back from COVID-19," he expressed, Monday (6/30).

The e-Order platform, he stated, was a marketplace that connects UMKM actors with the provincial government. Provincial government was deemed to be a great opportunity for the UKM.

Previously PT Bank DKI recorded that as many as 50 percent of the total debtors of the company's micro, small and medium business (UKM) segments, which are affected by COVID-19 had filed for credit relief or restructuring.

They mentioned that COVID-19, which will have a significant impact on the UMKM sector, would disrupt debtors' ability to pay. Thus, it could result in an increase in problem loans.

Yet, the relaxation that has been imposed by the financial services authority (OJK) would greatly help banks thus the increase in problem loans could be further suppressed.

Therefore they developed a special platform for UKM named e-Order in order to facilitate 50 percent of UKM that files relaxation is apparently not connected to digital.

Based on the company's publication report as of March 2020, the company disbursed loans amounting to Rp 26.47 trillion. 3.16 percent of total credit was channeled to debtors who are UKM.
