As many as 20 fire engines and 240 firefighters have been alerted to spray disinfectants on 20 protocol roads in East Jakarta, Sunday (5/31).

Of 20 roads, among them are Jalan Matraman Raya, Jalan Pramuka, Jalan Ahmad Yani, Jalan Otista, Jalan DI Panjaitan, Jalan Raya Bogor, Jalan Mabes Hankam and Raya Ceger.
"This action that aims to welcome the new normal will be done to a month by targeting protocol road, bus stop, pedestrian bridge, worship place, education facility and so forth," said East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency Head, Muchtar Zakaria.
Nevertheless, his side urges Jakartans to implement health protocols in curbing COVID-19 outbreak, stay at home if there are no urgent activities, wear masks and maintain physical distancing.
Fire and Rescue Division Head Gatot Sulaeman added, since May 14, as many as 1,254 spots have been sprayed.
"To do it, we involve related units such as urban village, sub-district, Satpol PP and Transportation Sub-agency," he told.
Therefore, people who want to request for spraying public facilities around their homes may contact his unit that is by sending a proposal or come to the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub--agency office or to the Gulkarmat Sector in 10 sub-districts.
