Jakarta Council (DPRD) Vice Chairperson, Mohammad Taufik wanted Education Agency to review school's teaching and learning activities (KBM) schedule which planned to begin on July 13, 2020.

According to him, KBM schedule which regulated at Education Agency Head's Decree No. 467 regarding Education Calendar for Academic Year 2020/2021 should be reviewed in order to minimize COVID-19 transmission to children.
"Children love to play thus it is more difficult to implement health protocols, unlike parents. So, I think this policy should be observed carefully," he conveyed, Thursday (5/28).
He suggested, KBM opening could be done gradually in each regions by implementing learning system in turns. For example, from 25 students into 10 students in a class.
"Don't be in hurry. Schools should also concern about this problem. How high its exposure in the school environment? What is its impacts to the children? Many things should be calculated," he asserted.
