Kelapa Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands allows water taxis which transport groceries and resident's goods to enter the pier. But not for passenger boats.
Only boats that transport staple needs are allowed, no passengers
Kelapa Island Urban Village Head, Madi M. Dali stated, his side still allows water taxi to operate every day to transport goods, not people, until the condition return to normal.
"Only boats that transport staple needs are allowed, no passengers. Because our residents buy goods via online or call directly to the middlemen or agent," he asserted, Monday (4/6).
For information, his side tightens access for local residents who want to travel between islands or go to Jakarta and Tangerang. It is done to prevent coronavirus transmission in his region.
"Yes, we tighten the access by monitoring their activities in the region," he said.
