Tebet Water Resources (SDA) Unit dredged mud from water channel on Jalan Tebet Timur Dalam Raya, RT 08/10, Tebet Timur, South Jakarta.
By cleaning it up, this channel can work optimally to drain water, especially when it rains
Tebet SDA Unit Head, Retno Wulandari mentioned, this water channel is as long as 14 meters, 80 centimeters depth, and as wide as 60 centimeters. Her side deployed 5 personnel to clean that channel.
"We work from 8 AM to 4 PM to dredge the mud and finish it today," she informed, Wednesday (2/12).
Until today, personnel have collected 60 sacks full of mud from the channel.
"It is rather difficult to dredge the mud because channel is quite narrow," she mentioned.
She assessed, siltation on the channel is potential to cause inundation if it is not cleaned immediately.
"By cleaning it up, this channel can work optimally to drain water, especially when it rains," she asserted.
