Thousand Islands Regent Husein Murad says the preservation of coral reefs, especially in Thousand Islands waters is very important.

If the coral reefs are good, the fish will be abundant, including the marine ecosystem that will be an attractive tourist spot for tourists

The statement was stated in the front of citizens, public figures, tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis) and community groups transplanting coral reefs and mangroves on Untung Jawa Island.

This is one of the implementation of the 1,000-color program, one of which is in the form of environmental preservation in which there is an eco-tourism movement, as well as people's economic movements that can realize and drive the people's economy.

"Hence, we prepare the facilities and infrastructure, starting from the assistance of FADs, shelves for coral transplants and mangrove seedlings until the training through the related sub-agency," he stated.
