A fire razed five houses on Jalan Kembang Abadi Utama, Block A, RT 01/08, Kembangan Selatan, Kembangan, on Monday (12/9). No fatalities or casualties reported.

West Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency Head Eko Sumarno said that his side got fire report at 8:20 AM.

"We deploy 10 fire engines to the scene. We managed to put out the fire at around 9:10 AM," he told.

It was allegedly caused by the leakage in the gas-stove hose.

"The loss is estimated at Rp 10 million," he stated.
