Some 60 young people from eight sub-districts in West Jakarta, participated volunteer training for emergency response unit Tagana in the Rawa Buaya City Forest, Cengkareng that is held on Saturday (12/8) to Sunday (12/8).
They must be supplied with disaster management training to improve their skills
They got material on navigation, public kitchen and logistics including the use of the Jakarta Aman app, which is integrated with emergency services 112.
"They must be supplied with disaster management training to improve their skills as volunteers and become the spearhead in their respective regions when disaster occurs," expressed West Jakarta Tagana Coordinator, Muhammad Idris, Sunday (12/8).
After the training, they would be trained continuously to be able to move in one command.
One of participants from Rawa Buaya, Santo (27) admitted he gained new insights into disaster management.
"The key is to be aware of disasters and skilled in handling on the field," he stated.
