The city-owned sewerage company PD PAL Jaya targets to finish the Krukut IPAL development in Karet Semanggi, Setiabudi, South Jakarta within 18 months ahead or in mid-2021.
It has 8,640 cubic meters capacity or 100 liters per second
This IPAL supported by the Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) technology will be built on a multi-storey area on a 1,200-square meters land.
"It has 8,640 cubic meters capacity or 100 liters per second," expressed PD PAL Jaya Director, Subekti, during a groundbreaking ceremony for Krukut IPAL, Sunday (12/8).
To hit completion target, his party will report the work progress every week according to the direction of the Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
"We'll report it in our official website and social media," he expressed.
It will later collect waste from Jalan Gatot Subroto, Bendungan Hilir and Senayan.
Its waste will be processed and made into clean water for watering plants by the Forest Agency and can be used by the Fire and Rescue Agency to extinguish the fire.
"Its water will also be sold in buildings around MBBR as flush toilets. The recyclable results are capable of leaving half a cubic meter of mud a day," he stated.
