Central Jakarta SDA Sub-department Head, Ahmad Saipul mentioned, project to build those communal IPALs has been started since two weeks ago.
"Our target is to finish this project by the end of December," he conveyed, Monday (12/2).
He explained, communal IPAL consists of septic tank and other supporting facilities used to process the wastewater thus later it can be returned to the channel according to the quality standards.
"Wastewater will be processed in Bio PAL. It means, when water is flowed into Menteng Tenggulun PHB Channel is already in good condition," he explained.
The sub-department also plans to build another six communal IPALs near Menteng Tenggulun PHB Channel in 2020.
"Communal IPAL is very important for the locals because it is a part of implementing a clean and healthy lifestyle. Besides, it can help us to avoid water on the channels from being polluted," he asserted.
