The Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) along with Jakarta Library and Archives Agency (Dispusip) discussed the 2020 budget priorities and preliminary threshold (KUA-PPAS), on Tuesday (10/29).

Jakarta DPRD's Commission E Chairman Iman Satria asked them to add more digital books that can be accessed anywhere and anytime. It was deemed important to improve the culture of reading millennial generation.
"This is our suggestion to improve reading culture in millennials who are now starting to leave books," he expressed.
Responding on this matter, Jakarta Dispusip Agency Head Wahyu Hariyadi uttered, in 2020, he proposed Rp 400 millions for additional digital book. In total, the current book was 580,000 copies of the book with 241,363 titles and 70,000 copies of digital books.
"We consistently add to the collection of digital books to be more interesting to read among the people," he stated.
